When it is time to go, it’s time to go! Even if it’s before Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix ( we have covered that already not so long ago). “Girls just wanna have fun” as they say, whoever they are, although I am in complete agreement there. So I grab my bestie Lily Kay, my constant travel companion and undeniable source of creativity and diva of Fun, and we teleport to South of France again, this time for some peace and quiet, and exploration of parts we did not get to before before. Of course, we always do it in style, jumping from one resort to the next, one little city to another little country, from Nice to La Reserve de Beaulieu, to Monaco Monte Carlo crashing at Hotel Hermitage, to Grand – Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, to Villerfranche-Sur-Mer and much much more. And don’t forget the pit stop in the city of all cities, my New York to wander the streets and hang at concerts like the Muse at Madison Square Garden, Charlotte Gainsbourg in Brooklyn, La Traviata opera at the Met and so much more, before Angel City! Enjoy the trip through the visuals! XOXOXO
After taking a well deserved break in my city of Angels which I call “Being in the Dash –,” it is always a good idea to go somewhere. It really does not have to be some exotic far off locale or a grand “tour de force,” but a place that calls for an adventure, that inspires and ignites one’s soul. For me – it has always been the city of Lights – Paris, where I feel instantly at home the moment I step into that fairy majestic town of beauty, refinement, history, excitement, fashion, and incredible desserts! So the trip coincided with Fashion Week AW 2019, as if Paris is not stylish enough. And what could be better than to travel with my great friend Veronica B., exploring the parts and places of the city we love and fall in love all over again. Love is clearly in the air, and we like its entoxicating perfume! Enjoy the scenery! J’adore!
It is almost that time of the year, Ladies and Gents! Holiday season right before us, and If it ain’t Winter Wonderland – it’s Californian Sun in my City of Angels. Well, how appropriate and timely! I sense the magic all around and almost foresee the surprises ahead! All I know is that I am very lucky to be home with my loved ones and have all my family and friends around to celebrate the New Year like it’s 2019! I wish that all your wishes come true and much love to you all now and always! Enjoy and God Bless! Naughty or Nice, here we go!!!
Summer is gone, but the Fall is around the corner! With the Autumn Equinox – the best holidays are right before us. As for my old-time love of themes and costumes – I am seriously musing on my new Halloween ensemble. Do I foresee more travel, travel and travel with Columbus Day in October? But Yes! Of Course! So why wait for Thanksgiving Day to express our gratitude when everyday should be happy, joyous and free? We live in an abundant world full of love, lessons, gifts and magic! Let us not forget Christmas and New Year with all its splendour and magnificence. But I am thinking ahead! Oh… do you want to see my spaceship?!?
I heard this saying that if “you put yourself out there,” then things will naturally happen and happen they will! But the proverbial question is – “Where is There?” In my experience, though I always claim that “I am from the future” – “There” is anywhere anytime anyhow I find “my way.” It’s not a riddle, just a way of being, a lifestyle, a choice. I like travel, I like art, I like music, I like people and places and things that aspire me to be at my best, and do the best. And of course, I love to share:) My recent travels from coast to coast depicted here: LA lover/NY lifer, Montauk and Nantucket, Palm Springs and the Cali beaches. Drive baby drive, Come Fly With Me, Keep Sailing and repeat! Enjoy your summer and don’t forget to smile!
The Winter seemed too long this year, and finally Spring has sprung. Between LA and NY – we’ve got it covered, tulips and poppies, all in bloom. I have missed NY and on my last visit in May, I felt my connection even stronger. La is home, NY is my heart. I guess Home is where the heart is, or the heart makes its home wherever it might be. What a concept, what a mystery… Enjoy the pics of my two fave cities… More to be revealed.
Spring is almost sprung and March is here! I pride myself in the fact that I am a March baby, the month of the creative folk and the magical ones who are always dreaming. I have been so blessed to be able to collaborate on some amazing work with my colleagues in film, photography, music and art on both the West and East coasts, and finally see these projects come alive, published and recognised in the media. Here is a collage of my personal and work medley full of color! Enjoy and Happy Birthday to all the dreamers!
After being back in LA for a month of January, I start to wonder if I am missing anything anywhere at all. As rumour has it – the Murder has already happened on the Orient Express. And why delay anyway? So I naturally get on the nearest plane and fly East, Far East. Hello Japan! I find myself at the Park Hyatt, where Sofia Coppola filmed her famous “Lost in Translation” – the cult movie about all things Japanese via Americans experiecing Japan for the first time. And let me tell you – Tokyo is magical, in the” Bladerunner “kind of way, where the clean metropolis is super friendly and full of fantastic many things. Kyoto is the older more serene sister of Tokyo, with ancient temples and slower pace of life. The Winter there is good for skiing, though not as cold as NY but still pretty, and the mountain Fiji not so distant after all. I might be back for the cherry blossoms and why not! ARIGATŌGOZAIMASU 🙂
It’s Christmas time everyone, and the New Year around the corner! Have you been naughty or nice, do you like sugar or spice? All of the above for me! While Santa is busy with his annual reviews and the verdict is not out yet, I wait for no-one and I hop on that NY jet to get closer to Santa’s arctic headquarters with a layover in LA for some defrosting. First to Germany, Munich to hit some Xmas markets and the high fashion street for shopping, and then to Spain, Barcelona to eat tapas and learn some flamenco while watching Carmen at the BCN opera house! Still pondering on what gifts the year ahead has in store but still not done with 2017… Shall we find out? Here we go…
When you need a change of pace and scenery and have no particular destination in mind – wake up in Paris! It’s the best city to get lost in, time and again, at least for me and my bestie Lily. We rendezvoused on the whim from both coasts – she from LA and me from NY. We travel like the adventure monkeys we are, even off the fashion week schedule. We missed NY FW and left Paris before all the crazy fashionistas flooded it again; but boy – did we have fun! Sleepless nights and busy days, and we couldn’t get out of Paris – the city of Lights, the city of Love. We’ll save Spain for another time. Anyway, enjoy the conundrum with us and have a laugh! Merci and J’aitme ! 🙂
